The smoking scenario is lame. You may be a little hyperactive but your constant need for attention is of an emotional nature having to do with your confidence and self-image. Go to your doctor and tell him what you've told us. He will refer you to a psychologist who can help you overcome this social issue. In the mean time just reel yourself in and stay off sugar and caffeine. Your description reminds me of my kids when someone would bring treats to school. They would come home bouncing off the walls from the sugar. Chill.
